Volunteer Service in Spokane County Fire District 10

The process to be a volunteer firefighter is simple.
Call or stop by at the District headquarters and training Center at
929 S. Garfield Road in Airway Heights, WA.


Once you are through the selection process, Fire District 10 will train you as a basic firefighter along with wildland fire training. Next, you will take 110-hr. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). All training will consist of approximately 250 hours over a six month period.

All volunteer firefighters are eligible for a Washington State Volunteer pension plan.
