District 10 Information

WHO is Fire District 10?
Fire District 10 is a professional emergency service organization dedicated to meeting the current and future needs of the West Plains community, by enhancing service through cooperation, technology and continuing education. We are dedicated to making our service and care to the public the best we can possibly can. Spokane County Fire District 10 consists of three commissioners, five paid staff members and approximately 50 volunteers, including 12-16 resident firefighters.

WHERE is Fire District 10? Fire District 10 is in Washington's Spokane County, located on the West Plains surrounding Fairchild AFB, the City of Airway Heights and including Spokane International Airport. Spokane County Fire District 10 is just under 100 square miles.

HOW MANY People Live in the District 10? The resident population is just about 8,800 people. Fairchild AFB population is 6,000 and Airway Heights population is just under 2,000, which helps account for the some 40,000 that commute through Fire District 10 daily.
